Last week I was in Tokyo exploring the possibility of developing Quickstart Global there. I met with people from various fields including Americans doing business in Japan. Any visitor to Japan will appreciate modernity and technological advances. It is also fascinating that Japan has preserved her culture. For a country who has become the world’s second largest economy, it is amazing how local the business practices are.

I was visiting when their election was under way. I read the article, “A New Path for Japan” written in the New York Times by the new Prime Minster Yukio Hatoyama. Check it out for an interesting perspective debating alternative paths for Japan.

I personally believe that creating an ecosystem for globally minded entrepreneurs in Japan can be an exciting way of embracing globalization.
